Case discussion: Graphics

One of the key parts of visualization is to produces meaningful pictures. "A picture tells more than 100 Words". Trieste Graphics Gallery was produced for an article "Illustrating Mathematics using 3D printers" written with Elizabeth Slavkovsky during 2012/2013. The book version for the ICTP workshop in Spring 2013 was a bit adapted in June 2013 here [ArXiv]. In the exhibit shown here we redrew the graphics again in Mathematica 14.1 and upgraded to 3840x1920 (4K) version. Times change. When I started to do share computer graphics for the web first in 1993 (first course website in 1994 for a dynamical systems course at Caltech) we accessed the web with modems and worked hard to get graphics small. Today, everything below 1920 x 960 (HDTV) feels pathetic or antique and 4K is standard. We move soon to 8K (7680x4320). Note 7680=28*15 and 4320=25*135 and the aspect ratio 16/9=(42/22).
