Ruth Asawa

The google doodle of May first features the artist Ruth Asawa. She created some beautiful objects. It might belong more to Math 22a, but there are also relations to material in Math 22b. The structures can be seen as networks. They feature symmetry and symmetries which can be implemented by linear transformations.
