Final exam

The final took place on Saturday May 14th at 9 AM in Hall E. We had a global final review on Monday, May 9th from 6:30-8:30pm in lecture Hall E. The slides are to the right. The final average was 82 (scaled to 100) with a standard deviation of 12 (with to 100 scaled scores).

Second Hourly

The second hourly took place on April 5, 2011 in SC Hall D. The average score was 81, the standard deviation 18. Here is the actual exam with a solutions.

Updated April 1, 2 PM: Corrections to solutions E1 6a) and E1 7b), and various things in E2. Thanks to Sharon Carlson.
Updated April 2: E1 TF13 had wrong flag checked. The explanation was correct: Improper is not indefinite.
Updated April 3: Solutions E1 4) the area is the integral times two. In 5) the pi factor got lost, in 6, a plus sign got dropped . Thanks to Mai Hunt for finding this.
Updated April 4: E1 TF7, "half cylinder" should be "cylinder". Half cylinder would refer to a half infinite cylinder. Thanks to Bilguun. In E1, problem 3, it is the 4;th entry. Thanks to the entire class pointing this out during review.

First Hourly

The first hourly took place on March 1 in SC Hall D. The average score was 79, the standard deviation 15. Algebra mistakes were the most common source of errors. Here is the actual exam with solutions:

Update from March 3: Correction in Solution TF 3: while f is continuous at 0, it is not at pi,2pi etc. The answer is false. Thanks to Vahakn for pointing this out.
