Sigh, and it's all over except for the final - it's been a whirlwind for sure, but I hope you've enjoyed seeing connections and concepts/ideas that perhaps you hadn't seen in quite this way before - there's a lot of very exciting mathematics that's accessible to both middle and high school students, and the hope/goal is that knowing your way around the algebraic forms and generalized number systems that we worked with this summer will help you to see and share mathematical connections with your own students in algebra classes you teach. For your reviewing, here's the Final Review handout we went over in class today, and please check on the assignment page for the solution notes we've been posting. On Thursday Alexa will host extended office hours in the classroom starting at 9am (and she'll have your last homework set to pass back to you if come by). Please do feel free to take me up on the offer to help out with any last minute math questions - home phone is 781 676 0676 and I'm happy to be "on call"! all of Thursday evening/night up till our final (which starts at 8:30am on Friday). I've really enjoyed getting a chance to meet so many new teachers this summer - please do keep in touch after the class is over!
