A romcom with some computer science in it. The sine-function appears
as well as the traveling salesmen problem and chess and some books in
computer science. The movie tries hard to break stereotypes in
computer science. Good: there indeed exists a women Turing award winner:
Barbara Liskov.
Bad: In the movie, a book with title "crytography girls" is mentioned.
Why not take a real book? The book displayed does not seem to exist.
One can read the author Auggie Rose. I could not find that book.
Not that there are no books about women in cryptology:
here are 4 books dealing with the topic:
Code girls and the
Bletchley girls and
The women who smashed codes and of course
The hidden figures which made it into a feature movie.
