In the movie "After the dark (2013)", some though experiments are done.
The entire movie deals with the concept of "value" and "purpose" as
the main part of the movie runs through 3 "shelter" experiments where
the participants (the class) has to make choices and decisions.
The topic is exciting but critics are right that it falls off or even nose dives
towards the end. (One review put it nicely: "... appears to have been written by somebody
who has spent a day browsing "philosophy" on Wikipedia and Reddit, after smoking a joint". )
But the movie illustrates how shallow philosophy is without help from the hard sciences.
