A delightful show. I binge watched it in two nights. The following clip is from S1 Episode 4.
Dunk is short by 2 fighters for the trial by combat because one of the knights switched side.
Two more worriers must be found. One is obtained by knighting a squire, and then an other
joins in. So it is about 7-5 .... Anyway, I like to have this clip in the collection as I
really liked the show. I'm not alone, the ratings are high. The story is simple and clear
but solid. There is also great acting. Superb chemistry between the main character
Dunk and Egg which also are likeable heroes.
This review sums it up nicely
on why the show works: "It is a breath of fresh air everybody was waiting for".
And one of the comments of that review: "When everything is subverted, sincerity
becomes a subversion". This review
points out an other strong point: the "narrative independence". And
"you don't need dragons to save a fantasy show - you just need internal logic and a good sandwich".
There are several reviews already about
the fight scenes. What the producers understood is that details matter.
