There is quite a bit of physics literature flashed around in the movie
Cherry 2010. The film is highly recommended by the way. It is difficult to
make a movie which mixes romance, college, tragedy, drama and comedy. And
there are quite a few places, where the story is both funny and serious.
The characters are all played genuine and believable,
the story is quite good and honest. Besides the romance and college drama
themes floating around, the bracket of the movie is an insanely ambitious
assignment given by the physics professor Van Auken (played well by
Matt Walsh, who by the way has also a solid performance as the hospital doctor in
Hangover, and the office mate of Mitch in Old School 2003, both very nice
comedies located a bit at the edge of what is possible in this genre, both
movies pushed the envelope with Todd Phillips as director).
The physics assignment in ``cherry" is to build a device which allows
you to walk on water.
