Gravitational dynamics

Three
body

Arrows are velocity. Colored curves are the path under gravity. Gray strokes are that same velocity with no pull. A ring is a collision.

Straight strokes same velocity, no gravity

Setup

Drag a disk to place it. Drag an arrow tip to set that velocity. The other arrows shift so total momentum stays zero. Keys 1–5 pick a setup, space plays, I toggles the straight strokes.

G = 1. The disk edge is the collision radius. Dots on a path are two time units apart.
