Locke Farm, November 20, 2010

The Locke Farm is a historic farm at 78 Ridge Street in Winchester, Massachusetts. It was built in 1827 and is historically significant. Unfortunately, there are development plans(1) This panorama was taken during a run through the farm land (which is open to the public), the Whipple hill conservation area and then through the McClennen and Turkey hill park. For more details, visit the Winchester Locke page or the web page of the Locke farm.

(1) This is probably one of the worst impacts of a tough economy: while everything can rally again, conservation land, especially historical one - once lost to development - is lost forever.
