Charles River Crossing, January 13, 2010

Careful:There are dangerous warm regions very close to the place, where the pictures where taken. Don't do it yourself!
Attention: crossing the Charles river on ice can be very dangerous and is not allowed. I did it first 6 years ago after having been instructed by a local expert. Without detailed and recent knowledge about warm water inlets, measurement of the ice thickness, monitoring of the weather temperatures for at least a week before the run and also knowledge about the location of possible hot spots in the river, it is madness.
