To make Archimedes Computation of the volume of the sphere more
accessible, we built a model which can be
admired in google earth.
We fill the half sphere with water. Letting it drop down into
the complement of the cone in a cylinder shows that the volume
of the half sphere is the differeence between the volume of the cylinder
and the cone, which is pi-pi/3-2pi/3.
The proof object was generated in Mathematica and 3D printed.
